Silk, a leading platform for accelerating the performance of business-critical workloads to the cloud, today announced a new offering to make it easier than ever for mid-size enterprises to run their most important applications on the cloud.
The offering gives customers an option to build Silk Data Pods (SDPs) using Microsoft Azure Premium SSD v2 Disk Storage.
Last year, Starlink brought in $1 billion in revenue for SpaceX, and its commercial launch business generated about $2.3 billion in revenue, according to third-party analysis. (SpaceX is a private company and doesn’t disclose financial details.)
Starlink had more than one million users at the end of 2022 and is on track to turn a profit this year, SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell said at an event in February.
The collaboration will include integrations with Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), making it possible for data scientists to use large language models (LLMs) to assist with writing code. This will enable DataRobot and Microsoft customers to more easily build, deploy, and manage end-to-end enterprise-ready AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.
